"Breaking Boundaries in Training & Development"
In our contemporary knowledge economy workplace learning and performance experts absolutely must break boundaries to remain successful and effective. Companies that are better educated right now will be more poised for the inevitable resurgence of our country's economy, and smart businesses know workplace learning is a key strategy for sustainability and building strength.
Trainers, consultants, human resource professionals, business owners and the like must demonstrate transparency, show accountability, prove a tangible return on investment, manage knowledge, substantiate real behavioral results, keep up with technology and 20-somethings while empathizing with 60-somethings, unleash human potential and engage employees, understand talent management, utilize action and blended learning styles, comprehend and capitalize on the power of social networking, and ultimately do more with less.
ASTD San Diego will address these and other salient issues facing workplace learning and performance professionals in our annual Your Turn to Learn Conference (YTTL) on November 4, 2009. The conference will center around the theme, Breaking Boundaries in T&D, and provide new and innovative ways to develop and manage the learning function.
